Scarecrow Contemporary Dance Company
自2018年起迄今連續獲選為「Taiwan Top演藝團隊」(財團法人國家文化藝術基金會演藝團隊年度獎助專案)，於2007年起便已連續10年榮獲「文化部扶植／演藝團隊分級獎助」專案補助之臺南市傑出演藝團隊（2005-2006）的稻草人現代舞蹈團，由羅文瑾擔任舞團藝術總監，主導舞團創作與表演風格，以及古羅文君擔任舞團行政總監及演出製作人，協助策劃創新思維的演出製作。
舞團積極開發當代舞蹈和其他藝術及劇場領域間相互合作的各種可能性，並以觀察生活、表現人性、關懷生命、反觀人生、省思社會為創作主題與內涵，展現當代舞蹈藝術跨界實驗精神與追求精緻卓越理念，以及發展突破既有舞蹈編創、表演概念及製作模式的獨特表演風格。曾於2010-2011年兩度獲選參與法國亞維儂演出，2024年由羅文瑾編舞並結合戲劇構作陳虹均之致敬卡夫卡逝世百年紀念的荒謬舞蹈劇場作品《有可能，但現在不行》，獲邀在【2024臺南藝術節】首演並入圍第23屆台新藝術獎表演藝術作品。
Since 2018, Scarecrow Contemporary Dance Company (SCDC) has been continuously selected as a “Taiwan Top Performing Arts Group” under the National Culture and Arts Foundation’s annual grant program for performing arts groups. Earlier, beginning in 2007, the company received the Ministry of Culture’s “Tiered Support Program for Performing Arts Groups” for ten consecutive years, and was recognized as an Outstanding Performing Arts Group of Tainan City from 2005 to 2006.
SCDC is led by Artistic Director Wen-Jinn Luo, who shapes the creative direction and performance aesthetics of the company, and Administrative Director and Producer Wen-Chun KuLo, who supports and plans innovative performance productions. Actively exploring diverse possibilities of collaboration between contemporary dance and other artistic and theatrical fields, SCDC’s works are grounded in themes of observing everyday life, expressing human nature, caring for life, reflecting on existence, and contemplating society. Through these themes, the company embodies the experimental, cross-disciplinary spirit of contemporary dance and its pursuit of refinement and excellence, while developing a distinctive performance style that breaks through conventional choreographic, performative, and production paradigms.
The company was selected twice, in 2010 and 2011, to perform in Avignon, France. In 2024, choreographer Wen-jinn Luo collaborated with dramaturg Hung-Chun Chen to create “That’s Possible, But Not Now”, an absurd dance-theatre work commemorating the centenary of Franz Kafka’s death. The work premiered at the 2024 Tainan Arts Festival and was nominated for the 23rd Taishin Arts Award in the Performing Arts category.
